Zurich Jazz Talks #5

Daniel Schenker is co-leader of the Zurich Jazz Orchestra, but also trumpet player in the band. Today we talk to him about his musical career and his work as a musician and bandleader.

“When in your life did you start to realize that you were serious about music? – It actually came very late, when I was around 30 I was always playing. After my ETH studies, a six-month trip to Southeast Asia and three years of Zurich insurance, I thought I’d like to see how far I could go with the instrument, and then relatively late I started studying music at the Swiss Jazz School in Bern.”
