China Moses, singer, songwriter and producer, develops her art and music in an open and honest way. Her music is defiantly authentic and resists what so many labels and critics demand: a category. She captivates her listeners with her deep sense of rhythm, sensitivity and wit, drawing inspiration from countless styles within the rich and far-reaching tradition of African American music.

Open and fearless, China’s songs document fleeting emotional states and extended narratives, often turning to self-reflection in both their lyrics and phrasing. China Moses and Ed Partyka have been working together since 2014, developing a strong artistic connection built on mutual respect and trust.

Over the years, Ed has arranged many of China’s original compositions, as well as selected songs from the pop, soul and gospel repertoire, for jazz orchestra.
