Raphael Kalt

Raphael Kalt began started playing the trombone at age nine. Through his musical surroundings in Baden, he got in touch with jazz and got to enjoy his first stage experiences in the local music scene at an early age. In 2017, he finished his studies with Daniel Schenker and Mats Spillmann and participated in master classes with John Hollenbeck, Alex Sipiagin, and Mary Halvorson.
He plays in various big bands such as the Lukas Brügger Orchestra, the Swiss Army Big Band, and the ZJO. Small formations such as Uzu, Bernadett, Suma Covjek and jobs in the fields of musical and theatre add diversity to the musician’s life.
