Zurich Jazz Talks #13

Thomas Gansch and Ed Partyka have known each other for half an eternity. We talk to both of them on the occasion of a concert at Moods about the beginnings of their musical friendship and take a look into the future.

The collaboration between Thomas Gansch and Ed Partyka is characterized above all by mutual respect for each other’s skills and craftsmanship – and by a good measure of mutual sympathy. Of course, there are also countless anecdotes and robber stories from the past. The two met about 25 years ago in Vienna at a big band session – but it is no longer possible to reconstruct that exactly. But listen for yourself.
