Workshop Concerts

In collaboration with the Zurich College of the Arts (ZHdK) and the music venue Musikklub Mehrspur.
Having its own music college, concerts and professional bands are just as important for Zurich as educational quality. In classical music, this issue is covered by Tonhalle, Opernhaus and ZKO.
From the beginning, the jazz and pop department of the ZHdK has worked closely with the Zurich Jazz Orchestra. For this reason, the format «workshop concerts» at the in-house music venue «Mehrspur» has been developed.

These workshop concerts provide students of the ZHdK jazz department with the opportunity to sit in with a professional orchestra. Thus, the ZJO offers students the chance to do an internship in a big band, just like classical music does.
