Born in 1967 in Altdorf, pianist Gregor Müller gained a teaching diploma from Urs Walter at the Zurich conservatory. He participated in master classes for song accompaniment with Gérard Wyss and Marianne Kohler. His activities are wide-ranging, be it in the field of Jazz or of classical music.
Current own projects are the Tonos Trio with Thomas Ineichen and Matthias Brändli that specializes in piano trios from the Romantic period on one hand, and on the other the lyrical Jazz trio Müller-Kramis-Baschnagel with Herbert Kramis and Pius Baschnagel.(CD Nautius II, Longlines).
He plays in various bands such as OrganSax with Daniel Frei, the Barbara Balzan Quartett, Gaviota-Latinjazz, the Michael Gassmann Quintett, Rodrigo Botter Majo, Peter Preibisch’s Playstation, State-of-3, Bandanova and many more.
He is a pianist for the David Regan Orchestra DRO, in the Luther-Bigband, and used to play in the BigKlezmerBand and the Swiss Army Big Band (leader Pepe Lienhard) an also as a stage musician at the Zurich Schauspielhaus in the production «Biedermann und die Brandstifter» by Max Frisch.
