«Northern Lights» feat. Marianne Racine (voc)
Hailing from Northern Sweden, vocalist Marianne Racine has been living in Zurich since 1984. Her extraordinay voice has made her a fixture in the local jazz scene. Time and again, she presents her very own, unique projects – from the duo «Tuliaisia» with pianist Vera Kappeler, the no-piano- quartet «Racine, Rhythm & Horns», to the most recent a cappella project «StimmFolk» that focuses on the Swiss national song legacy. It’s been a very long time since Racine has performed with the ZJO – she hardly ever appears with larger formations. So we think it’s about high time we had her back on stage with us. The singer, who teaches vocals at the Zücher Hochschule der Künste, will perform classics such as «Blues In The Night» or «Passion Flower».
